How It Got Started

I love telling stories. I love hearing stories. Ever since I was little, I always had a passion for television and film. Every time I watched a new movie, I would often continue that cinematic universe through my toys.

It is this passion that would eventually lead me to volunteer at my church as a cameraman and audio engineer. I would take film classes and study media trends just to keep myself smart.

A few years would go by, and I would find myself enlisting into the United States Navy. However, my passion for storytelling remained strong. It was here I discovered the true art of storytelling.

In 2009, I settled in Washington, D.C. While the Navy did provide great opportunities, I knew where my true passions lie.  Although I wasn't new to the camera, I knew I needed some formal training. So in 2012, I started my creative journey. Interestingly, not as a filmmaker, but as a DJ.

However, being DJ did help shaped my storytelling abilities. I would often play music based on who was on the floor and create an atmosphere where beautiful memories can be made. This would go for five years.

While I had a great time entraining people on the dance floor, the silver screen was calling me. That when I started my cinematic journey.  My time as a DJ showed me I had the skills to create a universe where people can escape and relate to.  Much like a director to his films. Or like the screenwriter. Thus, here is the beginning of my cinematic journey. And I want to take you on that journey with me.
